How do I make a flowchart in Google Docs?

Google Docs only has the Drawing tool, where you place every box and arrow by hand. With the AI Flowchart add-on you open Extensions → AI Flowchart → Create diagram, describe the process, and the finished flowchart is inserted into the document. You can also make it here on the website and paste the PNG into your Doc.

Does it work in Google Slides?

Yes. In Slides the diagram is laid out left-to-right and fitted and centred on the current slide.

Is the add-on free?

Yes, it signs in with your Google account and uses the same free AI credits as the website. AI Flowchart Pro unlocks unlimited AI and every diagram type, and removes the small aiflowchart.io mark from pictures.

Can I edit the diagram after inserting it?

Yes. The inserted picture links to the diagram on AI Flowchart, where you can change it by hand or by asking the AI, present it, or export PNG, PDF, PowerPoint, Mermaid and draw.io.

What can the add-on access?

Only the document or presentation you open it in, to insert the picture. It cannot read your other files.

Can I export it?

Yes — PNG, SVG, PDF, PowerPoint with an editable slide, Mermaid code and draw.io. You can also share a live link or present it full screen.
