RACI Chart Generator
A RACI matrix says who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed for each step of a process. Instead of filling a spreadsheet by hand, draw the process as a swimlane: each lane is a role, and the RACI matrix is built from who does each step, who signs it off and who gets the work next.
- One row per process step, one column per role
- R from the lane that does the step
- A from the nearest approval or sign-off
- I for the role that receives the hand-off, C for message flows
- Click any cell to change it
- Part of a full SOP: download as Word or PDF

Frequently asked questions
What does RACI stand for?
Responsible (does the work), Accountable (owns the result and signs it off — only one per step), Consulted (gives input before or during the step) and Informed (is told when it is done).
How is the RACI matrix filled in?
The role whose lane holds a step is Responsible. If an approval or review follows soon after in another lane, that role is Accountable; otherwise the doer is both (A/R). The role that receives the work next is Informed, and BPMN message flows mark Consulted roles. You can change any cell.
Is it free?
Yes, the RACI matrix is generated for free. Pro lets you edit cells and download the SOP with the matrix as Word or PDF.
Can I export it?
Yes — PNG, SVG, PDF, PowerPoint with an editable slide, Mermaid code and draw.io. You can also share a live link or present it full screen.
