Frequently asked questions

What does the aiflowchart GitHub App do?

When a pull request is opened or updated, it compares the code before and after the change and posts one comment with a diagram of the parts the PR touches: new services, files, routes and connections are highlighted, changed parts are tagged and removed parts are struck through. A one-line summary and a warning note explain what could break.

Which languages and frameworks are supported?

JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, C#, PHP and Ruby, including Express, Next.js, NestJS, FastAPI, Django, Flask, Gin, Spring, ASP.NET, Laravel and Rails. It also reads docker-compose, serverless.yml and Prisma schemas.

Is the diagram made by AI?

No. The boxes and lines come from scanning the code itself: imports, routes, HTTP calls and SDKs. AI only writes the one-line summary and the warning note, so the diagram never shows parts that are not in your code.

Do you store my code?

No. The repository is read in temporary storage and deleted as soon as the diagram is drawn. Only the diagram is kept: names of files, routes and services, and counts. Short excerpts of the changed lines are sent to our AI provider to write the summary.

How much does it cost?

It is free for 20 pull requests a month per account; later pushes to a pull request already counted are free. aiflowchart Pro includes unlimited pull request diagrams.

Will it spam my pull requests?

No. It posts one comment per pull request and updates that same comment on every push. Pull requests with no change to the structure, such as docs or small logic fixes, get no comment.
